I never could have imagined that time would fly by so fast, it seems like five minutes ago we came home from hospital with this delicate, squishy little lump but in reality Mark is now 7 months old! Gone are the sleepless nights (for now anyway) and the delicious chubby baby fat and left in its place is a happy, little dude. Now don't get me wrong the last 7 months have not be a breeze, but compared to some of the horror stories i have heard about newborns, Mark has been a delight.

Now there have been many ups - daily smiles and giggles, a solid 12 hours at night (bliss), seeing him grow and develop, the happiness he brings to our families and the amazing range of expressions he has shown during weaning - he is loving his food. But there have been downs - mainly pain and discomfort caused by reflux, teething, injections and fighting nap times (he thinks he is a big boy now and doesn't need them but he definitely does). However the ups outweigh the downs 100 to 1 and i wouldn't change a moment.

* Almost sitting up and rolling over (he was five weeks early so may take him a little longer to do)
* Sleeping through the night from around 12 weeks
* Grabbing his feet and constantly pulling off his socks
* Picking things up and grabbing toys, especially loves the baby wipes pack
* Putting EVERYTHING in his mouth
* Chuntering and chatting with everyone, he likes to be involved in conversations
* Laughing and smiling all the time at anyone and everyone
* Blowing raspberries - thanks Auntie Helen for that tutorial
* He has two teeth and two more on the way, so lots of flushed cheeks and teething gel
* He is now eating two meals a day, breakfast and lunch and will be moving to three shortly

* He loves banana porridge and sweet potato
* Books he loves: the Hungry Caterpillar, Oi! Frog, Ten Little Dinosaurs
* He loves Ronald rabbit & Bobble bunny, his cuddly toys

He is such a social butterfly like his mum, and is so happy being around other babies. He has a great group of little friends and it warms my heart to think they will all go to the same school and grow up together, causing mischief as boys do. His mischievous little character becomes more and more apparent everyday and i cannot wait to see the cheeky little boy he will grow up to be.

Such a smiler | My little coffee date | Lunch with Auntie Helen | Ball time with Willow | My little bunny
Wrapped up warm | Disney Education | Cuddles with Great Granny | My sleepy boys

We are preparing for Christmas as this post goes live - his 1st Christmas and i am sooooooo excited. I realise that he wont remember much, if any of it or be that involved but still there is nothing more magical. Christmas day will probably consist of Mark eating the wrapping paper and Willow the cat sitting in any unattended boxes - they make a right little pair. This time of year also means that his classes are all festive themed so there have been many, many outfits which make me smile as there is nothing cuter than a baby in dress up....he makes a great little Reindeer!

Above are just some of my favourite Mark memories from the last six months but if you want to keep up with his progress and see many, many more photos (yes i am that mum, that stalks her baby with a camera!) be sure to follow my Instagram:

Welcome to the second installment of this series, documenting What Mark Wore over the last month or so (obviously this is only a small selection as this kid goes through a lot of clothes!), with a more autumnal collection of clothes. Mark is starting to look and act like a proper little dude and I wanted his wardrobe to reflect this new found character with some more structure pieces and less basic babygrows, plus moving away from the traditional boy blue. Built around a base of soft joggers and vests with cute character tees, knitwear and little shoes, his wardrobe is cute but practical for him now he is becoming more active. Still working around a navy, black and grey base with some bolder pops of tan, mustard, teal and red along with some great prints.

My current favourite pieces in his wardrobe are the "happy little one" raccoon tee and the robots sweatshirt & joggers set, which works well together or as separates.

Sainsbury's long sleeve Raccoon tee & shearling lined lumberjack jacket, Primark White vest, Next black joggers, Wish tasseled moccasins

Primark Striped vest, Next black joggers, Sainsbury's dinosaur hoodie, George star bib

F&F Woodland characters vest, Primark chunky grandad cardigan, M&S navy joggers, Amazon fox grey hightop sneakers

H&M striped sweatshirt, M&S navy joggers, Sainsbury's soft dog shoes & grey star bib, Primark white vest

Sainsbury's Red cat joggers & grey star bib, Primark star vest & chunky grey grandad cardigan

H&M Robot sweatshirt & jogger set, Sainsbury's grey quilted booties

As usual have linked to what I can, but a lot of these items were gifts months ago so are no longer available.....
Have you seen any cute baby pieces you think Mark might like?

AW17 Primark Homeware

As a Primark girl through and through, i have been a big fan of the homeware section for a few years now and am so impressed how it has evolved from a few knickknacks to beautiful collections that i believe rival some of the big homeware stores. The latest arrivals have my name written all over them - marble, blush pink, rose gold and lets not forget the Christmas collection - so many baubles that i need for my tree. So far this year i have already bought some great pieces - cushions, fairy lights, multiple candles in various scents, storage baskets, bedding and my absolute favourite item - a rose gold elephant doorstop, an unexpected find!

Here are some of the pieces i have seen recently in store that i am loving ❤

AW17 Primark Homeware: My favourite Pieces

Grey woven basket £8, Blush pink faux fur cushion £9, Marble/Rose Gold jewellery stand £5
Disney Chip Cup £5, Grey/rose gold geometric print cushion £7
Candles - #4 Sea Salt & Lavender & #9 Wild Orchid & Honey 80p each
Artificial succulent plant £4, Rose Gold large metal basket £5 (small also available £3)
Lama photo holder £2, Grey & Marble wicker basket 2pk set £8

Sadly as the Primark website is not transactional i can't link but it is a great excuse to pop into your local store and see what you can pick up, especially as all my picks are under £10!

Would love to know what pieces you have picked up recently....

The five style essentials every woman should have this Autumn

Every year trends come and go, but more and more i am opting for my favourites and classic staples, worrying less about being "on-trend". These items are simply just updated styling wise each season (there is always a new shape or way to wear). Just in case you need some inspiration on how to style up these essentials, check out a few of my favourite autumn outfits below... and to see these and many more head over to my Street Style: Autumn Pinterest board.

So the five style essentials i think every woman should have in her wardrobe this Autumn are:

1. Statement Knitwear

A cold weather staple that covers a wide variety of styles - whether you prefer a jumper or a cardigan, a thin lightweight or a super chunky knit, make sure you opt for something sumptuous and snuggly, perfect to add that cosy layer to your autumnal look. Statement knitwear can be plain with just a great knit to it but added embellishments and detailing such as colour blocking, lace, jewels or intricate patterns are great too. Such a versatile piece, worn with jeans, trousers, skirts or layered over a cute dress - cosy but chic. I particularly love styles that have unexpected elements - ribbon lacing up the sides, tie cuffs, zips or supersized bell sleeves.

2. A Great Hat

Fedora, beanie, bobble, beret - the list is endless but a great hat can elevate a simple outfit and make you look chic an put together. I have built up a great collection of styles, over the last few years - grey, black & burgundy fedoras along with an old grey double pompom beanie from Topshop and this years addition is a cute pink bobble hat from New Look. Find a style that works for your face shape / hairstyle, throw it on and off you go. I love to add a hat if i am wearing a really casual outfit just to jazz it up, plus they are great at covering a bad hair day!

3. Beautiful Scarves

A standard accessory for the colder months, that i am 99% sure every woman owns but scarves have become so much more of an accessory in the last few years - a great way to add colour as well as warmth as well as being an inexpensive piece you can update every year. Whether you opt for a lightweight knit, full on blanket style or a festive faux fur, choose something that will work well with your wardrobe as you will be wearing it every day. I love to wear a head to toe black outfit and add a pop of colour with a beautiful scarf. Scarves are like shoes, you can never have enough.

4. The Trusty Ankle Boot

A fashionistas essential Autumn footwear, keeping feet warm, dry yet stylish . Another piece that comes in so many shapes, styles, heel heights etc that the perfect pair exist for everyone. Personally i have a few styles that i always come back to - a great pair of comfortable block heels, usually with something statement about them, to team with tights & dresses along with a flatter, simpler pair to wear with jeans. Currently wearing a pair of black western buckle boots, they work so well with my mum wardrobe of jeans and knitwear.

5. A Biker Jacket

A relatively new essential from me, a great third layer piece that helps to cinch in some of that chunky knitwear. Opt for classic black leather or go bold, adding a pop of autumnal colour in suede - mustard, tan, blush pink or soft grey are some of my favourites. I picked up a gorgeous blush pink one from Primark in the summer, which i have loved wearing thrown over a chunky pink & grey knit and jeans on those days when i don't need a thick winter coat.

So it's that time again, when the leaves turn, the temperature starts to drop and we start to think of all things snuggly.
My November 2017 Wishlist

1. Extra chunky beanie - ASOS2. Eyes coin purse - Anya Hindmarch
3. Studded western boots - Topshop4. Sass & Belle Leaf Coasters - ASOS
5. Amberley Satchel - Mulberry6. Faux Fur Gilet - Matalan
7. Lightweight Scarf - ASOS8. Soft curl tong - GHD9. Wooden storage box - Etsy

Starting with these amazing suede boots from Topshop, which i think are the best Chloe Suzanne dupes i have seen on the highstreet and a bargain at only £49 - buy my pretties, buy. Have noticed some great new homeware pieces creaping onto the ASOS site and thought these leaf coasters were beautiful, they would go perfectly with my green kitchen too. Always on the look out for cute storage, especially now i have baby paraphernalia all over the house, anything to organise in style so these wooden crates would be perfect and come in a variety of colours too. No love for Mulberry lately until i saw this satchel - the deep oxblood colour, simple shape and something quite unique about the buckle has drawn me in, although my budget is more Primark than Prada at the moment so will have to dream!

Babys October Wishlist

1. Dinosaur romper - Next | 2. Badger joggers 2pk (matching top available) - Next
3. Knitted Romper - H&M | 4. Fox bobble hat - H&M
5. T-rex light - A Little Lovely Company6. Line cord trousers - H&M
7. Monster jogger & sweatshirt set - H&M | Bear joggers - Tu@Sainsburys

Not really much explanation needed for Mark's wishlist - mainly chosen because they are all so cute and very practical pieces! Very autumnal, i am loving all the rusty colours at the moment. The fox bobble hat is amazing and so helpful that it comes with a tie as i am sure it would fall off constantly (either that or be pulled off!). The little T-rex light, already have a cloud from this brand but the little mint dino would work so well in the nursery.

Anything on your wishlist for this season that you think i may like, or any new baby brands i should check out?

Style Spotlight: Inthefrow

Finding her well heeled niche in the high-end & designer spectrum of fashion, blogger and Youtuber Victoria Magrath aka Inthefrow, has become one of my everyday fashion idols. An aspirational fashionista, giving her readers a glimpse into the stylish world of designer brands such as Dior, Chanel & Burberry as well as the more affordable highstreet favourites Reiss and Ted Baker, to name a few. Her style and hair colour have evolved so much in the last few years, and I have enjoyed following this journey as well as discovering a plethora of new brands along the way. I would class Victoria's style as classic, structured with a strong focus on quality and beautiful accessories - this girl owns more boots than the shoe hall of Selfridges!

Style Spotlight: Inthefrow, classic pieces

A true believer in classic staples mixed with statement pieces, Victoria regularly incorporates items such as skinny jeans, leather trousers and her self professed favourite, the polo neck into her outfits. Then layers on her seasonal newness and wow factor through luxurious outerwear, statement footwear and an array of beautiful designer handbags. I particularly love the lace midi skirt outfit above - a beautiful mix of feminine lace, a basic polo neck layered with an unusual knitted vest and a bold pop of red, beautiful for this time of year.

Style Spotlight: Inthefrow, beautiful pairings

All the autumnal shades in this group of outfits - loving the rich palette and transitional looks. The amazing Temperley midi dress, Anya Hindmarch bag and bare leg combination from London fashion week is a look I am so inspired by, the print of the dress is just gorgeous - I will be trying my best to recreate with high street pieces. Each of these looks is relatively simple - a lightweight knit and mini skirt teamed with ankle boots but with the mix of brands, colours and textures making them all individual and special. Victoria has a keen eye for unexpected pairings and colour combinations.

Style Spotlight: Inthefrow, fashion chameleon

Victoria is a fashion chameleon - switching up her style regularly. Able to switch effortlessly between ladylike chic and channelling her inner boho goddess in a printed maxi dress. To mixing it up with a very casual jeans and a lace tee combo or styling a classic LBD with a denim jacket and ankle boots - a Victoria staple item. This ability to flit between style tribes and influences creates a truly varied and unique outlook on fashion and personal style #stylegoals.

Style Spotlight: Inthefrow, all the glamour

Finally this girl loves a touch of Hollywood glamour - above are just a few of the AMAZING gowns Victoria has doned in the name of fashion recently. Working the princess look in statement red along with a more gothic, sexy take on glamour in these two amazing Dior dresses - very bold and takes a lot of confidence to pull off a see through dress (with your underwear fully on display) which she does with ease!

Inthefrow.com celebrated its 5th birthday during October, so it felt only fitting to feature Victoria in the style spotlight. I am looking forward to seeing what the next five years holds for this lady and her amazing wardrobe......and just putting it out there, can you imagine what maternity "inthefrow" style will look like!!

If you haven't had chance to check out the gorgeous stylings of Inthefrow, make sure to bookmark the blog and follow on Youtube & Instagram.

Introducing a new series here on The Glitter Fashionista - What Mark Wore.

With how quickly my little boy is growing, i want to remember all of his cute little outfits as i can't always take a picture and what better way than sharing them on the blog. Now that Mark is out of the newborn phase and wearing more than just vests and baby grows i have been having so much fun. Before it was all about my fashion and my outfits but now i have so much enjoyment every morning picking out what he will wear for the days adventure. I have gone with a simple base of grey, black and navy pieces with pops of colour - easy to mix & match. Think the little man may now have more clothes than me and that is saying something.... Gramps is currently building us a little open wardrobe to house them all.

Now onto the outfits...and be sure to leave us a comment with which is your favourite.
